A CAR!
I had one, a nice new one, that went along with my nice corporate real estate job, but when I chose to leave that world behind to pursue the dream of being a yoga teacher, it was only so long before the car went with it.
I suppose I could have paid that car payment instead of going to France with my new boyfriend but nahhhh...I opted for topless beaches, wine, cheese, hiking through the Pyrenees, making love, the Mediterranean, castles, vineyards, adventure, camping, roundabouts, mushroom hunting in the forest, beautiful sunsets through my bedroom window, vegetables from the garden, fruit from the trees, new friends, stumbling upon sheep herds on the top of a mountain, a beautiful wedding (not mine), farmers markets, camping by a lake, artwork in the woods, snorkeling, honey right from the comb, sleeping in the back of a Renault van as we traveled along the Cote Vermeille, acting silly in the airport from lack of sleep...happiness.
Should I have chosen differently? Perhaps. I'm glad I made the choice I did but now, I need a car. Nothing fancy, an old Volvo or Nissan, something reliable that only costs a few thousand dollars and I'll be set.
In the past when I've had money and resources I've given freely of them, now the tables are turned, much by my own choice but still turned, and I need some help, so if you feel so inclined send a little l'argent my way, $1, $100, $1000 - I'll take it, graciously with the hope that I can continue to live my life freely and do what I love until the day that I make enough money doing that to support myself!
